With the release of Native Staking on Hedera, our network enters an exciting new era on our Pathway to Decentralisation. In this session, our Co-CEO and Founder, Dr Leemon Baird, provides an update on where we are on our Pathway to Decentralisation, the importance of decentralized governance, and the role of decentralized development. Leemon also touches on the features of Decentralisation and what you can expect them to look like.

Interoperability is a fundamental aspect of ensuring that the way we mature as a network is in alignment with the needs of Developers as they look to migrate to, or integrate with, Hedera. At the core of this is our focus on EVM equivalence so that existing tooling, or code, that you bring to our network can continue to operate exactly as you need it to. One of our Engineers, Nana, will talk to our EVM journey, what building with the EVM on Hedera looks like, and what you can expect from our JSON-RPC Relay.

Web3 offered a great opportunity, where providers could mint as many domains & TLDs as possible, but potentially leading to trademark violations and other legal issues. In this sessoin you'll learn about the low hanging fruits in multiple trees of Web3 TLDs — for example, multi-chain TLDs and linking of multiple domains. Being in the transition phase from web2 to web3, very step should be taken to allow seamless shift from Web2 to Web3 and for next few years both must co-exist.

This sessions will start with describing the value of domains in the ecosystem, and how the space will grow and change in the coming months and years. You'll dive into an overview of the hashgraph.name technical considerations and work that has been done in the ecosystem thus far, as well as plans to include the community even more in the future. Finally, Nate will touch on the aspects of multiple providers in the ecosystem and how the joint-architecture that was created is uniquely differentiated from those seen on other networks and how it will support multiple independent organizations.

The decentralized DNS space is very fragmented with several providers creating the same top-level domains. Recent events like Unstoppable Domains decision to discontinue their selling of .coin domains and their lawsuit to protect their .wallet top-level domain has illustrated the reason for the industry to come together and solve the problems of collision and confusion before they result in negative consumer use. 

Under a grant from the HBAR Foundation, NexBloc has been creating a framework for clearing dTLDs and for providing a DAO to manage how this is done for the benefit of all. We will share the work to date as well as the Hedera ecosystem components and the greater tech stack. in addition, we will present the rationale for why all should join in the movement to protect our futures as the general public comes on board with Web3 initiatives.
